Delaware County Historical Association, Delhi, NY
The Delaware County Historical Association was founded in 1945 to preserve and present the rich history of Delaware County. Today, DCHA has over 600 members and presents the history and folklife of this county through the site’s historic buildings, exhibits, programs and publications.
DCHA is home to 7 historic buildings including the 1797 Frisbee House barn, blacksmith shop, nineteenth-century gun shop, school house, turnpike tollgate house, Christian Church at Fitch’s Bridge, as well as two exhibit galleries, research library and archives, gift/book shop and a nature trail.Visit:
The Pakatakan Farmers’ Market in Halcottsville
has been a Saturday tradition for two decades. The market, which has free admission, operates from mid-May through Columbus Day weekend and features only products grown or made in the Catskill Region. Visit:

For more than a century, the Catskill Mountain News has been bringing local news to area communities. The weekly newspaper is published every Wednesday.Visit:

The region now has its own radio broadcast from WIOX, a community station that began airing in August 2010. The station features an eclectic mix of on-air personalities who play interesting music and present an array of talk-show viewpoints. Tune in at 91.3 or stream online.Visit:
Recreation/Entertainment Offerings:
Belleayre Mountain, Highmount, NY.
Belleayre is renowned as one of the top places to learn skiing and snowboarding in the Northeast. The mountain also offers great terrain for every level of skier and ’boarder. In the summer, the resort is home the Belleayre Music Festival (see below).Visit:
Belleayre Music Festival, Highmount, NY
The Belleayre Music Festival is held at Belleayre Mountain in Highmount from the Fourth of July weekend through Labor Day weekend. Concerts are every Saturday, with some additional Friday shows and occasionally on a Sunday. The eclectic mix for the concert series established in 1992 includes blues, jazz, Broadway, opera, world music, country, bluegrass and breakthrough acts.Visit:
Hanford Mills Museum, East Meredith, NY
The Hanford Mills Museum is centered on a 19th-century milling complex. The museum focuses on power sources, products, and processes. It includes tours of the 150-year-old mill, demonstrations of the working machinery collection and a chance to see the waterwheel in action. The museum also hosts many special events that highlight the region’s historic past.Visit:

Plattekill offers exciting entertainment year-round. Plattekill was picked by ESPN2 as one of the top mountain biking spots in the Northeast. When winter rolls around, Plattekill offers some of the finest terrain around — with great skiing and snowboarding for visitors of all abilities. Visit:
The Roxbury Arts Group, Roxbury, NY.
The Roxbury Arts Group (RAG) is housed in a turn-of-the-century historic building on Vega Mountain Road, Roxbury. The organization sponsors a year-round presenting series of theater, music and dance. RAG is home of The Walter F. Meade Visual Arts Gallery, Hilt Kelly Performance Hall and the Old Bank Gallery. Visit:
Ulster & Delaware Railroad Historical Society
The Ulster & Delaware Railroad Historical Society is a chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS). It focuses on the history of the railroads and related social, economic, and cultural institutions of the Catskill and Hudson Valley regions. That history, which began with the charter of the Catskill & Ithaca Railroad in 1828, encompasses numerous proposed and built railroads and trolley lines within Ulster, Delaware, Greene, Schoharie, Albany and Otsego counties.Visit:
The Catskill Mountain Scenic Railroad, Phoenicia.
This 12-mile round-trip between Phoenicia and Cold Brook station (Boiceville) is a wonderful hour-and-a-half railroad excursion. The train ride operates from late May through the end of October.Visit:
